Mwoit Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 (edited) I'm putting my beloved Carvin XB76 6 string neck through bass for sale. It weighs a lot compared to my Dingwall and I much prefer that over the Carvin; not to say Carvin is a bad bass by any means. There is a chip on the back of the neck as pictured, this does not hinder playability nor indicate structural weakness in the neck. £600 O.N.O. Comes with Carvin hardcase and leather strap as pictured. Recently been set up by Martin at http://www.axeman-guitars.co.uk/. I'm based in Edinburgh but I can meet in Edinburgh City Centre or Glasgow City Centre. If you require P&P, we can discuss a courier. ioanggg Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Hey, how much is one of these new, do you know? And approximately how much would Postage be to North Wales on top of the price? Thanks
Mwoit Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 I have no idea unfortunately. Carvin are semi custom instruments made in the US, but for folk in the UK, we get massively shafted on buying them brand new (like 100%+ price increase in some cases!). I bought this one second hand years ago. Postage would be around £20. It'd go in the hardcase and I'd nip down to the guitar shop to get a cardboard box to wrap it up in.
ioanggg Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Cheers for the reply. I'm interested in the bass, but don't have the money at the moment, so I wish you the best of luck in flogging it, and I'll keep up to date with this thread.
