Admittedly the only stock parts left are the body, neck and pots. Edited June 13, 2014 by Jonnyboy Rotten

Grangur
I'd be interested to hear opinions on how a passive P/J with the P pup solo'd compares to the real thing...
I'd be interested in seeing how my Warwick Streamer PJ would stack against a P. That can be played passive. I also have a Wishbass if you want a real red herring in the mix. The only thing is the Wish is fretless so it would stand out for that alone in this blind test. Edited June 14, 2014 by Grangur

TheGreek
I'm only familiar with the 1A so I can't say. Might be worth bringing it along to compare - depending on how many others we have. PM Lozz to see??
Lozz196
Well although this started out as a Precision Test, the real deal on this is the Precision pickup isn`t it. So I`m quite happy for non-Precision looking basses, so long as they`ve a Precision pickup that can be soloed/played passive.

Silvia Bluejay
If we extend the test to too many basses, the results will become extremely confusing IMO. If we were doing, say, a Warwick Corvette test, I don't think I'd like to see other models included in the test even if their pickup configuration were to be JJ or $$ like most Corvettes. (mine has one extra 'o' and exclamation mark). Just stick to Precisions, at least that's my suggestion. Otherwise you're introducing too many variables and it just ends being a test of 'which bass sounds best'? Rather than 'which Precision sounds best', which is a more interesting outcome IMO. But it sounds like a fun experiment, regardless
