sheeesh radio stations and their playlists so bloody fickle - this guy has been around for a few years and pretty much 'mainstream ignored'

but we can just about forgive their crass commercial ways when they occasionally latch on to something this good (radio2 have been giving it airplay lately and it seems to be slowly catching on at last)

I seem to remember that he played on bbc2 on[i] later with jools holland[/i] at least once. That sort of exposure can do wonders for a band, look at imelda may for example

He's an award winning Jazzer. Jazz rarely gets mainstream play other than on the "Jazz Hour" on some channels.

Another chap you may like is Kurt Elling. He's a very similar style of jazz & has a tremendous range.
