Musicman20
What is the upcharge for a 'modern' tort plate? E.g. just the normal modern plastic guards? From looking at Telecaster guards (official ones) and Musicman guards, they seem to be about £25-40. I'm fiddy/fiddy - some look great, some really don't.

[/quote] I agree, some look great, some look...well, out of place, If you want a classic Fender look (despite it being available in the past) I think a natural headstock with nice choice wood for the whole neck is better. skej21
Barry knows as well as anyone what the people who use the shop want and I'm sure his decision wouldn't have been based entirely on the fact that he personally likes a matching headstock... RhysP
If I was to have one it would be a Burgundy Mist P Bass with the biggest chunkiest neck option available with a maple fingerboard & probably a black scratch plate.

Currently away on holiday but hope to place the order next week Current colour voting seems to be: Precision Sonic (5) 2SB (4) CAR (3) Jazz CAR (6) LPB (4) Emerald (3) However - I'm compiling this on an iPhone so could have missed a few! molan
5's available sometime in the 'fall' Aim is to keep the 4's below £1,000. Blocks and binding will add maybe £125-£150. We have a definite price on the instruments but waiting to he finalised shipping quotes.
Prime_BASS
Who is the manufacturer? My choice. J - 1.5 nut - Inca Silver - blocks and bound J - 1.5 nut - fiesta red - dots If natural was an option then I'd choose that over the red. Nothing else really tickles me at the minute, and I have weakness for natural ash and maple neck, with black hardware.
