It's about he same price as the Volto (which has been around a while now) give or take £5.

I know a couple of people using the Volto with Pedaltrain boards with a lot of success. I keep threatening to buy one to go with my Nano but haven't got round to it yet!

To me the only point of these is outdoor/guerilla gigs on battery power. If you have mains available for your amp, just use a conventional power supply and plug in.

It's for busking , I've got a Diago power thing for normal use.

I dont the technical reasons, but surely the massive benefit is to cut out any sort of hum? Correct me if I'm wrong.

You might not get interference from the mains, but you will surely get sag from the battery though, right?

Not for a while - these are lithium-ion based. So more likely to just die (when battery is discharged) than sag as they have a relatively flat discharge curve.

For the price it's superb. It regularly powers 4/5 pedals for a 4 hour rehearsal with no problems.

my Pedaltrain volto has been amazing, saved me at gigs with really REALLY limited plug space and from noisy venues.

i planned to charge it all the time just in case, but through laziness i barely charge it and its done a fair few gigs.

it has a 3 LED power meter on the unit, ive never let it go down to 1 bar
