Horizontalste
Increasingly I'm seeing musicians using IPad type contraptions at gigs, mainly perched on top of the bass rig or guitarists squeeler box. Now I'm not much of a technonerd and I'm not down with the kids but I'm baffled as to what these folks are doing! Is this some kind of effects thing or are they just doing Facebook type posing? BassTractor
Sfar as I've understood up to now, they're used for many different things: - lyrics - notes or tabs - virtual amps with - effects processing - looping etc. - playing pre-recorded stuff - as synths - with the screen as input device rather than a keyboard or other MIDI controller and probably a lot more. Horizontalste
I figured that it was an effects type thing going on. I was trying to Google it but couldn't think what to type in the search bar. It never ceases to amaze me how technology is moving so quickly but I won't be ditching me meager pedal board just yet.

EliasMooseblaster
I will admit, I found somebody's Real-Book-on-an-iPad very useful at a jazz jam. Other than that, I can only presume they're using them to take selfies during those moments when they're not playing.
