yorks5stringer Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Down in London for a few days seeing the kids. Went to see Rich Hall's Showdown at the Soho Theatre tonight and it's a musical comedy show, him plus a countryish band. He spends quite a lot of time talking to the audience and guess who was sat right at the front under his gaze? When he asked me what i did I replied "I'm a Bassist" and I was invited on to the stage. We did Copperhead Road which luckily I knew and the rest is history...I guess it's all downhill from here! James Watson I think was the band bassist and he played a precision and upright double with aplomb! Big thanks to Rich and the Band. Quote
yorks5stringer Posted June 13, 2014 Author Posted June 13, 2014 Think my eldest was too embarassed to take any but I'm sure there will be something trending on social media......! Quote

oldslapper Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Nice one Keith! :-) Must have been embarrassing though, seeing someone play a double bass with a plumb? Quote
yorks5stringer Posted June 13, 2014 Author Posted June 13, 2014 Well he offered me the DB first and I thought " Don't know what I'm going to be playing so it would be easier to busk on the Precision", As it happens I know Copperhead Road although who ever heard of a road named after a cider? Quote
