JazzBassfreak Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Took delivery of this today from BassDirect. I can not believe the weight of this, it's the lightest bass I've ever had in my possession. It's 8lbs exactly. Sounds absolutely killer and the neck is lovely. Bubinga top, alder body, wenge fingerboard. Absolute cracker, very happy to add this to my collection! Quote
JazzBassfreak Posted June 13, 2014 Author Posted June 13, 2014 She needs a polish up, but I'm astounded at everything about this one. Quote
discreet Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 (edited) Lovely - I want a Dingwall 5!! What's the B-string like? I've played one or two of GW's Dingwalls and the B strings were very good. Edited June 13, 2014 by discreet Quote

The clarity of the open note is unbelievable! Quote
Black Coffee Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Dingwall is a beautiful beast. enjoy. I loved the three I had. Quote

gary mac Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Lovely I'm a recent Dingwall convert but the four string variety, so far. Quote
Kev Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Enjoy it mate, I love my ABII, and they are remarkably light. Usually I hate lightweight basses as for tone is too often sacrificed, however Dingers are the exception Quote
JapanAxe Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 I was well impressed with the AB1 5-er I tried at Bass Direct a while back. Trouble is I am now addicted to flats... Quote
