Hi,

just thinking of buying one - I haven't found much comment on this particular cab on here (probably because it's a new-ish cab).

I'm looking to use my GK MB500 to drive it. Any opinions welcomed.

cheers

Ralph

I have one, and really like it. Before that I had the '69er but I wanted something a bit cleaner and more transparent. It's a very clear and articulate cab with plenty of deep (but not boomy) bass. I can't imagine needing a tweeter with this cab (I actually cut the treble on my amp and bass) but I suppose it depends on your own requirements.

Thanks Roland. I've put a deposit down on one.

Crumbs! I feel a bit of pressure now! ;-)

Last night the band jammed out a new dub song in low C# with the bass using a low pass filter with some boost at the (very low) cutoff point. I'm VERY happy with how deep, smooth and clear this cab is.

I have Super Twin no. 001 and have been gigging with it since last September. Very happy with it, driving it with Ashdown ABM500, good full clear sound playing blues/rock in pubs.

Don't feel any pressure, Roland :)

It was the model suggested by Alex when I emailed him in some detail asking for advice on which cab to choose! In any case, I've got a month to try it, so no pressure at all.

Thanks to you and Dave for your thoughts.
