For Sale: Sandberg TM2 5 String Lined Fretless- Stunning
£1000

For sale is a stunning Sandberg California TM2 Lined Fretless 5 String Jazz I picked up in a trade. This bass is simply amazing. These basses are hand-made in Germany and are probably the best quality instruments I've played.

It's is superb condition and is finished in a gorgeous Greenburst that has to be seen to be believed. The 34" scale neck has a lined Ebony fingerboard in super condition (a few small string marks but nothing that could photograph).

It has active/passive electronics with Volume/pan/treble/bass with 2 MM style pickups. Hardware is black and it is in super condition apart from a very few minor swirls and a bit of wear on the pickguard that was impossible to photograph.

The body is ash and a little weighty at 10lbs, although it sits very comfortably on the strap. It's currently strung with a brand new set of Elixirs and sounds wonderful with a nice low action.

It also comes with a new Stagg hardcase (tolex covered) and a set of unfitted Schaller Straplocks in black.

After speaking to Sandberg, the lead time for having one of these made at the workshop is now in excess of 5 months and would cost over £1,550. This is in super condition and considerably less :) Sandberg build quality is simply incredible and this is a rare and beautiful bass.

I'm looking for £850. No trades please as I've just been able to buy one of my old basses back, otherwise this would be a keeper for sure.

It can be picked up from either Woking (weekends) or Bristol (weekdays)

Thanks guys. It's a beauty.

Unfortunately I'm struggling with 5 strings due to an old hand injury

Sandbergs are Simply wonderful instruments though. The build quality sound and playability are in a different league. In fact my main gigging bass is a Sandberg Ida Nielsen, so I'm a big fan :)

Gorgeous bass - got to admit, even nicer looking than my TM fretless, dammit!

Good to see that Ida has the correct pick guard on in the picture above, not the tort one!
