niceguyhomer
Just rang the chap who dealt with me at Brum - a nice, helpful bloke called Rob. I was quizzing him about the US ones and they have just one left with a redwood top @ £799 but that's Divorce City Arizona so I must resist. Can't see this affecting resale values in the long term but I doubt I'd get the £450 I paid for the Rebop 5DLX FM two weeks ago back if I tried to sell it now (no chance). Tracer
Man, that's tempting. I've been looking to get something with a bit more growl than my Jazz and then this goes and happens : / Will these guys deliver?
niceguyhomer
Charged me a tenner for next day delivery.
Mike Brooks
Same here, bought mine from Bristol and I'm just outside London, would cost me a tenner just to get to Swindon.........!

thedontcarebear
I got this from the Leicester branch, they don't seem to have reduced them as much!!
At our store we’ve got a Spector Rox 4T hologram Black, which is a bit like a firebird in shape, with a cool greeny/blue hologram style finish over a black base coat, that was £699, and is now £549. We also have a Euro 4 LX in Poplar Burl which sounds and looks fantastic!! That one was £1499 and is now £1199
cetera
That's because they're new stock.... and not 'bought out' ex-SoundControl stock...

Mike Brooks
I'm glad I didn't buy the NS4 in Brum a month ago. It didn't compare that well with 2 other basses I had with me and at £1,000 it would have been overpriced to my ears but to ask close to £2,500.........just count myself lucky I've been able to score one of these LX's which sounded better than the NS4 I tried. Never fails to surprise me how every bass is different, even in the same product line/range. Mike
Phil Mann
Nice to see Mr. Brooks has joined the Spector family, about bloody time....
Mike Brooks
Well, I would have joined 18 years ago had I been able to get a US NS2 at the time.
Phil Mann
I was still reading the Beano 18 years ago, not even thinking about basses! Anyhow...introducing.....Todd Cooke.....A huge Spector collector in the states, between him and PJ Rubal @ Spector, they pretty much have everything on the market! Both of their collections are viewable on Todd's site, it's well worth looking through to get an idea of pretty much everything ever made by the firm! http://www.spectorworld.com/ There's a really cool page on his web site that, if you have a minute, should all check out. The link below will take you to a load of mpegs, of the manufacture of the flagship USA models at the Woodstock factory, it may not be the Czech Republic made Euro models, which seems to be the focus of these postings, but it's a great inside look at Stuart and his team in NY. http://www.spectorworld.com/spectortour.htm Enjoy, Phil
Tracer
If you're keeping the stock list earlier in the thread updated, then the Black Cherry Euro LX from Sheffield is now winging its way to Essex!

Phil Mann
Hey Steve, Yeah, I'll be putting a long over due introduction onto the web site soon, but was going to wait until I took delivery of my new Spector from the states and kill birds with one stone...watch this space. Born 2B Mild
Well, I've now joined the Spector Club. Amazingly, I've just realised it is the first brand new serious bass that I've bought in nearly 30 years! This spalted Maple top Euro 6 still had the ticket on it of £1099, but it was on the clearance list for £499! (Stockton on Tees) Here's a few hasty snaps...
