All these cheap Spectors are driving me nuts.
Platypus
In all this scouring or Reverb stock lists, has anyone uncovered a Mesa Walkabout Scout combo ? I ask because Sound Control used to sell them - in fact I have once seen them in Sound Control London for £799 during a sale Cheers P
Born 2B Mild
Suggestions are welcomed for where I can source some gold knobs to replace the black volume/tone ones on this Euro 6. Presumably they simply pull off, as I can't see a screw. PS They still have two Euro 4's left at £400 each ...one black cherry and one natural maple

I'd try Axesrus for your knobs - reasonable selection methinks. Hope the Bergies are serving their purpose. Alan

Alan
H Alan, The Bergo's are being tried out for the first time in anger this Sunday (Chainsaw @ The Roman Bath, York). Sound great at home with the Shuttle! Now that our Tom is awake (works night shift) I'm going to plug in the Spector and get a sonic fix. :brow:
TDM
That Spalted Maple 6 looks awesome, I would have tried to order it in if I knew they had any 6s Anyway, I made a thread for my Euro LX 5 in Amber
noisedude
As far as I can tell the five-strings are all gone now ............ so can I call some sort of dibs on the first Rebop or Euro 5? First person to decide they don't like it is welcome to call me, cash waiting, operators standing by ... !

noisedude
When I say "cash waiting" I should point out that I'm totally skint and will be re-mortgaging my family to buy one ... or extending my overdraft, whichever's easier. Can't let them pass at this price though!
Mike Brooks
Just out of interest, were those of us that bought the Euro LX4's supposed to receive the outer straplocks with our basses? Obviously the strap buttons are fitted but there's no sign of the outer part, I wasn't sure if those are meant to be supplied. Mike

niceguyhomer
I used my new Euro LX5 in anger on Saturday night and the sound was sublime - full, punchy, articulate - all the things I want. I've been frowning at my rig a bit lately (LMII & Genz Benz NEOX 212) but all the parts combined beautifully and I'm in a happy place gearwise thankfully. Funkydunc
Couldnt resist, just bought an amberburst LX4 from Brum - think it was the last one. Been deliberating since news of the deal came through, fortunately it coincided with a little windfall. Spare cash and fantastic deal doesnt happen often! Cant wait! Mike Brooks
Does anyone know what's left out there in Reverb land? Pics of the new acquisition once some gold control knobs make their way through my letterbox later in the week. She's a beauty!!! TDM
I think you're supposed to get the bit of the Schaller locks that attach to the strap too. I got them. He did say that they didn't keep them on the basses because people steal them thoigh. However, I don't think you get them on Rebops. I noticed that Cetera's Rebop 4 (when I was repacking it) that it just has ordinary strap buttons. I want a LX4 or Rebop, but 2 Spectors within 2 weeks is a little excessive for me Edited August 12, 2008 by thedonutman

Can't begin to say how happy I am with my purchase, having waited 18 years to resolve my Spector craving....should have dealt with it long ago. Silly boy!
