i played a new 5 string thumb in the shop. They sounded similar but i found they had and totally different feel. I found the newers ones lack the build quality of the older ones as they are all more mas produced now. The newer ones are lighter tho so i guess they will be easier to play in a set.

I have tried G77's thumb and found the neck to be extremely nice, pencil thin and very comfy. I have never played a new one but I thought the 'Warwicks have far necks' thing was a misnomer, or perhaps it is true of the recent ones? I am not very 'up' on Warwicks at all, so don't listen to me.

mines neck is really nice. i love the fact it has 26 frets even tho i dont see why anyone would want that many. i like the look of the silver bridge and hardware on yours. I had to take mine into repair the other day and i was left to play a Mexican fender jazz. I hated every min of it couldnt stand then fender cos it seemed so much harder to play.
