Tobiasthegiant
Got this bass in a trade, the previous owner has no info about it, other than it possibly came from the 80's. Anyone know more about it?
wateroftyne
I've no info, but I always liked the look of these. Interested to hear how you get on with it.
Tobiasthegiant
I've no info, but I always liked the look of these. Interested to hear how you get on with it.
The only problem with it is that there is about a 2-3 mm gap either side of the neck pocket. But so far, it's all grand. Probably going to add a thumb rest just above the pickup, just as an anchoring point for playing.
cocco
I almost garauntee it's amazing.
Cosmo Valdemar
ESP seem to have made a habit if calling various instruments 'Horizons'. The guy from Fear Factory played an ESP Horizon bass and it wasn't remotely like yours. But I'll echo Cocco on this one. Almost certain to be an incredible bass. Bigwan
These appeared in the '84 ESP catalogue - looked it up while researching the two that have been on eBay recently (this looks like one of them - marks on the lower bit look the same, missing knows, same flaming pattern, same neck pocket gap on treble side). Jealous - I should have bid a little higher on it! Really nice looking bass. Edited June 19, 2014 by Bigwan

Bigwan
No need to apologise - I made a cheeky bid and didn't think it would be anywhere near enough, but only got pipped by a fiver in the end! Listing only finished on 14th so your friend didn't have it long at all (convinced it's the same bass http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=111375383069&globalID=EBAY-GB&alt=web), but some basses just don't 'fit' you, and you just know it as soon as you pick them up! Health to enjoy - I'm sure it's a cracker! Edited June 20, 2014 by Bigwan
allighatt0r
Looks like a really nice bit of kit, I'll have to keep my eye out for an ESP in future.
