Painy
I could see this taking off. Pimp My Bass thread.
Like the sound of that. Maybe next I should install neon downlighting under the pups and put spinning rims on the tuners!
ezbass
We'll pin striping was way, way harder than I thought it might be and I'm not totally happy with the final result, but after some touching up it might pass muster from a few feet. Anyway here it is as it is currently
Painy
Looking good. Definitely makes it stand out more - in a good way. Nothin wrong with it that you'd notice under stage lighting and wouldn't take much of a touch up to look perfect in any light. Making me rethink my decision not to bother pinstriping mine now! I'm contemplating sanding the Warwick I'll be getting (hopefully) tomorrow but have no real clue of there's anything I should keep in mind while doing it. any words of wisdom would be appreciated as you done a great job on the Ibanez!
Thanks. The only advice I can give is that it's completely worthwhile stripping everything off and marking all wires and connectors for reassembly, then take your time, go slow and don't press too hard with the sander. In addition bear in mind that you are unlikely to achieve the same sort of finish that the manufacturers get (unless you're really talented in this department) but if you don't mind the odd flaw or swirl it'll be fine. BassManGraham
These basses do look amazing, must give it a try. But I think I'll try it on a budget Jazz Bass first (before I order some brickwork effect vinyl on eBay for my Alembic)
