Bikenbass
Hi folks. My ten year old Son would like to learn to play a six string. Does anyone have experience regarding what to look for/avoid when choosing one? I don't want to spend a fortune, as it may just be a passing fancy, but equally, I don't want to put him off by buying something difficult to play. Thanks in advance. barkin
I did the same for my daughter a few years ago. All of the 3/4 size ones, in my price bracket, that I looked at either felt a bit toy-like or didn't sound great. I ended up getting her a small-bodied full-size one. I've a Squier Mini Strat that I'm thinking of selling... Edited June 25, 2014 by barkin

I'll keep the mini strat in mind, but that's quite a way off yet. Regards, Mark
gelfin
Crafter Junior, electro / acoustic. I bought one for my son a few years ago. Lovely action. Had a similar feel to a Les Paul. Having said that I have just googled images and can't find one to show you.
