stack?

so, I have a big rig and a small rig. both with matching cabs, Why do they sound "bigger " when theyre not stacked , but side by side?

I'd guess that a non-stacked rig will have more bass coupling with the floor.

you have a mesa walkabout in your sig, not sure if that's the big or small rig.... but don't they have a radiator on the bottom.
Physics would suggest that vertical should be better.....
