cytania
Title says it all, I'm looking at bodies for a bitsa and wanted the closer to the bridge routing, but do Fender offer this on any of their current range?
umcoo
Off the top of my head, the Geddy does, the '75 reissue and the '70's' reissue. Companies like Warmoth can also do custom bodies with 70's pickup spacing.
cytania
Love playing with the Warmoth configurator but I keep adding in all sorts of gorgeous finishes that push the price right up
Moos3h
What about the Squier VM Jazz '77?
cytania
Just looking at the Squier VM77 pics on Thomann and the bridge pickup looks in it's original place... maybe it's my eyes 😃
BassTractor
maybe it's my eyes
If indeed something's wrong with your eyes, then there's no single reason anymore to be picky about the position of the pups, now is there? obbm
If I remember correctly the MIJ/CIJ 75 RI Jazz does not have 70s spacing, but MIA does.
spongebob
There's a gorgeous American Vintage '74 Jazz - pretty steep, but looks fab with the blocks and all.

Geek99
If I remember correctly the MIJ/CIJ 75 RI Jazz does not have 70s spacing, but MIA does.
Spot on
cytania
It's a complicated picture in Fender land. You think a jazz is a jazz, but there's alot of minor variation. Off to the optometrists now 😄
sammybee
Marcus Miller MIM/MIJ, 70's Classic MIM (I have both of these & they have the 70's spacing)
Simon.
If I remember correctly the MIJ/CIJ 75 RI Jazz does not have 70s spacing, but MIA does.
Most of the Japanese 75 RI's don't have the 70's spacing, but a few do. Mine (as pictured to the left, and now sadly no longer mine) did. I've no idea if there was a set cirteria for which models had the different spacings. Edited June 23, 2014 by Simon.
