Twincam
Bought a cheap harley benton jazz bass, been very impressed with it considering its price. However i would prefer a tone, blend and master volume rather than the classic two volumes and tone. I really don't know a that much other than the basics of the electrics so what would be the easiest way to do this?. Buy a ready made up set of controls that also would no doubt upgrade the pots and jack etc. Or buy the components myself and have a go?. If i can just buy a ready made kit however that would be great if someone could point me in the right direction.
HowieBass
There's a lot of stuff online regarding VBT wiring for Jazz basses; chose a 500K blend pot to keep the tone the same as the current VVT wiring; here's a schematic The control plate pictured above is clearly arse-about-tit but I think the wiring is correct and obviously you can have the pots in whatever order you prefer (the above shows BVT). paul_5
"Kiogon" on here makes brilliant quality, solder-less looms for basses, might be worth giving him a shout. http://basschat.co.uk/user/7835-kiogon/
