KingBollock Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 For some reason I was unaware of Cradle of Filth's latest album, which came out last year. It is utterly, utterly brilliant. Certainly up there with Thronography, Cruelty and Midian. Cradle of Filth - The Manticore and Other Horrors Quote

Sorry, but I wonder what the fekk is wrong with you! You should've exchanged those neighbours with people of taste long ago. C'mon lad, on the double ... And don't be soft on them now! b, b Quote
WalMan Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Ah no, they're generally OK. A couple of doors up have a party and band in the back garden every couple of years. Now then, lets get the full rig running Quote
KevB Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 I wasn't even aware of this solo album though I'm not a huge Flower Kings fan so their side projects tend to pass me by (I have some Karmakanic though) and liking what I'm hearing so I may have to tracks this down on Amazon or somewhere. Quote

I'm a big fan of Mark Egan's playing , and this trio sounds really fresh . I like the angular sound and the way the guitarist seems to be channelling a bit of Mahavishnu - era John McLaughlin in places . I will have to investigate further . Quote

I've been a fan of Mark Egan since i saw him in 1978 with Pat Metheny and have been lucky to have seen him with Elements and also Gil Evans. One of my favourite bass players. Quote
