BassTractor Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Kevin Gilbert: Tea For One from the album Thud. Gilbert (deceased in '96) seems rather unknown, but is highly regarded in some circles, and everyone has heard his work on Sheryl Crow's "Tuesday Night Music Club". http://youtu.be/RkgsNx0mdCI Quote

seashell Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Ogdens Nut Gone Flake by the Small Faces. I'd forgotten what a joyful, funny and touching album it is. But all the tracks are too short. I think it should have been a double album. Quote
discreet Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 (edited) Despite the somewhat negative reception to Arctic Monkey's AM on here... I gave 'Arabella' a proper listen last night and was very impressed. I suppose my perception of them stopped at the 'northern twats' stage (apologies to any nothern twats reading this) and their earlier hits, but I have to say I really enjoyed the whole album very much. Which is unusual in these days of 'non-albums' and single track downloads... Fantastic production skills evident, too. So put your Monkey perceptions aside, roll a hot one, turn it up and listen to this: Edited October 26, 2013 by discreet Quote
Donnyboy Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 A Chris Issak album ( something about The Sun) versions of old rock and roll numbers. He's a quite good Elvis impersonator. Quote
