Huge Hands
I'm enjoying my "King Curtis Live at Filmore West" and "Aretha Franklin Live at Filmore West" albums. It's basically the support and main act at the same gig, using the same band. They had been on my to buy list for ages, and it was the BGM 5 funky albums list in the Peter Hook cover edition that reminded me to get them. Jerry Jemmott plays some very nice stuff! Operation Mindcrime was one of the first metal albums I purchased. I like to think I started in style.
Stonking album, I think I always think of the big pounding root notes in the intro to the 2nd verso fo "I Don't Believe in Love". Yeah! bnt
A speech by Paul Ehrlich: The Dominant Animal: Human Evolution and the Environment Part of the Seminars About Long Term Thinking organised by The Long Now Foundation. Dr. Ehrlich is very sobering to listen to, even though his long-term concerns about overpopulation aren't the primary focus of this speech.
