lozkerr Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 At the moment I've got Ellen Foley's new album Fighting Words on repeat. Although her voice isn't as powerful as it was in the Meat Loaf years, the musicality and emotion is as strong as it ever was. Quote
lowdown Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 Just noticed a thread on another site about the late, great, Brazilian Bassist, Arthur Maia. Defiantly worth checking out if you haven't heard him play before. A terrific player... Quote

SteveXFR Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 I've been enjoying a bit of Mutoid Man this afternoon. The bass tone on the intro to this song is absolutely disgusting 🤘👌🤘 Quote

They may not have had the technical skill of the current top riders but they had balls the size of water melons, endless determination and heaps of personality. We snuck in to the paddock at Brands once, I shouted something (nothing intentionally rude) at Pierre Chilli and he threw a knee slider at me. Top result! 1 Quote
PaulThePlug Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 Always been a fan of the Japs... #Nori41 Quote

One of my fave bands but Mrs Ubit hates the guys voice so always fast forwards their songs when they land on random. Edit. I watch their videos often but Nikki, the bass player still looks like she was recruited yesterday and is unsure of her bass parts. She always looks embarrassed to be on stage. I know she is decent but she needs to work on her stage craft. Edited September 3, 2021 by ubit Quote

SteveXFR Posted August 25, 2021 Posted August 25, 2021 I'm currently sat in the sun enjoying some Shrinebuilder. It's a bold claim but I think Al Cisneros is the second best metal bassist right behind Geezer Butler 2 Quote

I'm more of an OM fan than Sleep or Shrinebuilder, but Al is bloody awesome in all of it. He's a nice guy too. 1 Quote
