They pretty much out played/entertained Anthrax. I then saw them a few years later with Stereo MCs supporting. Stereo MCs were so badly received that Living Colour refused to come on stage until the crowd gave the Stereo MCs a cheer. I only saw them once and then saw Corey Glover (with a different backing band) in New York about five years ago. Quote
Daz39 Posted May 18, 2023 Posted May 18, 2023 Auf der Maur (2004): eponymous release from Melissa, bass player with Hole and the Smashing Pumpkins. It's quite good actually. Quote

Bagman Posted May 19, 2023 Posted May 19, 2023 Today will be a lot of The Smiths Yesterday I listened to “Hey Jude” by Wilson Pickett. Jerry Jemmott really is a funky smooth player Quote

jonno1981 Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 New sleep token album “take me back to Eden”. It’s going to divide opinion for sure. For anyone not aware they’re an intriguing anonymous bunch who dress up on stage that are on their third album. Previous material is strong, particularly 1st album. Becoming quite the crossover act blending detuned metal with pop sensibilities. I know this sounds hideous but hear me out. Not much in the way of prominent bass parts but really enjoying the album as a whole. The production is absolutely massive sounding, very polished. Highlights are the snare drum sound, all singles released so far, the riff on ascensionism around 4mins in. Lots of colour in this and it improves on repeat. 1 Quote

I’ve seen these guys mentioned on some music groups I’m in on Facebook. Just checked them out, Chokehold was good for me to go back to the first album. It’s all pretty good 1 Quote
Guest Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 (edited) This makes me happy some times. Good tune. The Mighty Mighty Bosstones - The Impression That I Get (Official Music Video): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIGMUAMevH0 There's nae porn on the link, I''m just too young to be old and want to stay up all night and can't embed Far better without the video too. The good impression or rather intention of the song takes a dent from the late 90's video/posing. Still a song I'm fond of. Edited May 21, 2023 by HornetPinata listed above. #edit: drivelling Quote

Over polished pitch corrected vocals layered over derivative and not very heavy metal. Like Justin Bieber meets Bring me the Horizon. 1 Quote
Old Man Riva Posted May 22, 2023 Posted May 22, 2023 As well as featuring a typically wonderful Les Pattinson bass line it is arguably the finest song to mention collective greengrocer stock there’s been… 1 Quote
