Daz39 Posted March 5, 2024 Posted March 5, 2024 Max Webster - The Party (basically a compilation of their 6 studio albums, live album and assorted extra tracks that span their recording career 1976-81.) They were on the Anthem label with Rush, opened for the former for many years on Canadian tours, and I suppose are what Rush might have been if Rutsey had stayed in the band. Quite enjoying some of this - so much music that makes it in one place and nowhere else (5 Gold and 1 Platinum album in Canada). Quote

Maude Posted March 5, 2024 Posted March 5, 2024 Cake's version of War Pigs. Now Sabbath are Sabbath and nobody can beat the original, but I love this version. I like how the instruments seem to start the bar in a different place creating real interest and slight confusion, then the second verse are all on 'the one' together. Probably explained that incorrectly but there ya go! 😉 Great production as well, lots going on but every instrument has its own space and clarity. Enjoy. 1 Quote

bartelby Posted March 7, 2024 Posted March 7, 2024 New Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds single. If this is typical for the album, it sounds like it's not going to be the Nick and Warren show of the last few. Quote
lidl e Posted March 7, 2024 Posted March 7, 2024 Still sounds as good as it did 35 years ago! 1 Quote
