I read it described as "Townshend's suicide note"... lyrically an uncomfortably raw listen but musically it's probably The Who's prettiest album, conversely. Quote

StickyDBRmf Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 I replaced Dave LaRue in a Top 40/Disco band. True story he left for Berklee College of Music. I did the same year later. No I can't play like him. 1 Quote

cetera Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 (edited) My fave new band/album of the year - 'Big Horizon' (basically Jeff Lynne's backing band in 'ELO'/the 'Take That' live band)! Great songs, big harmonies and some of the best players in the biz. I was at their debut show at Pizza Express, Holborn as was @TrevorR and it was a fantastic gig. Featuring the wonderful Lee Pomeroy on bass/bv's 😎 Edited December 12, 2024 by cetera 1 Quote

NancyJohnson Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 Cheap Trick - Out To Get You Live 1977. Japanese CD. This is a RSD release from a few years back; it's from four shows in Los Angeles in June 1977, so about three months before In Color... dropped. Brilliant stuff. Quote
