I've had Fabrique by Fashion on rotation yesterday and today.  Fantastic early '80s electronica.

At my wife's request of, 'Can you please listen something else, eh?', I'm listening to the deluxe version of Throwing Copper by Live.  Handful of bonus tracks and their Woodstock '94 set.  Quite maaaarvelous.

There's some good songwriting on this album. Of course it's very polished production which may not appeal to a lot of people on here, but it does warrant repeated listening.

I remember marvelling at the bass on the album. A few years ago I was double amazed when I learned that it was the singer who played the bass and I saw a video of them doing Move on perfectly.

Singer at the time was Dee Harriss who was also guitarist.  I don't think Martin Recchhi (bass) ever did lead vocals...they went through a few line up changes, would be interested to see this!

I've been rediscovering Lonnie Liston Smith recently.

Got to be one of the most underrated Jazz/Funk guys from that era, he's up there with the very best.

REALLY good shout 👏

Just heard this track on BBC Northampton, John Leech Soul Show.

Wilton Felder featuring Bobby Womack - Inherit The Wind.

So laid back, cool, what a smooth groove.

I'm sure you already knew Wilton was also a killer bassist? That's him on bass on the Jackson 5's I Want You Back (as one example)

I can't find the video I saw, but Dee Harris plays bass in this one on the second song Dressed To Kill, Maybe I'm mistaken. It was a while ago.
