I love Slift. They're up there with Slint and the Slits.

This is not the Wordle thread!

I've been listening to the new Steven Wilson album - it's prog-tastic!!

I'm really looking forward to hearing this when the tour hits Glasgow in May.

The band rehearsals to prepare for playing this must be a real headache

Oh I hadn't listened to that yet, will have to soon!

Not a bass line to be heard. And no snare. How can this be so freakin funky!?

It shares something with Public Enemy...

Excellent internet station based in Chester... They're playing a track off Weeds' ep at 1720 today followed by my entry to BC's monthly compo compo. There's no accounting for taste, though they're currently playing Shriekback which is a good sign!

I'm sure I pointed a camera at Heights at one point.

Jay found an old hard drive with our first Wilde theatre show and a west end centre gig on it. Some of it sounds good! Could’ve been your good self recording.

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, The Impression That I Get.

That used to be a regular in our repertoire for many years, seems to have disappeared in recent months.

Good fun bass line to play

I recall being at The Wilde Theatre for one thing where Al and another guy were handling sound, but can't actually remember if you were playing (jikes, sorry).  It was an all day thing, but memory blurs...we saw My Never Time and a truncated set by the truly fantastic Rhoda May, after this we kept going to the bar.

I saw you at the Cellar Bar, can't remember if this was with Tesseract ..Jay did two sets?

Trust your recovery is going well (as usual mine!).

Memories! I think it was mind overtime, but it was 2008 so memories are sketchy! Rhoda May were good. Jay did the double set thing a few times - nutcase!
The gig we found the recording had a lineup including “the godwits” who went onto success as “dry the river” (main stage reading fest and lots of tours) + my now wife’s band a genuinefreakshow. Fun times.
Recovery hit a few hurdles (I’m fatigued all the time and no one knows why!) but I’m still in a better place than last year.

If anyone on the Facebook massive is following this thread (and the mutual lovefest with me and John), seriously now folks, fire up Spotify (or whatever) and go listen to Heights...their Phantasia on the High Processions (etc) is a fantastic thing.

Likewise, check out the two Rhoda May EPs on the same platform (347 and 589).  Awesome band.
