Vicente Amigo's new album Tierra, which combines flamenco with Celtic music and is a real grower (I was a bit meh at first as I like a bit of fiery flamenco and this is much more nuanced and world music-y)

Last year's English Electric pt1 coupled with this year's pt2, both by the sadly overlooked Big Big Train. Excellent brace of albums.

A bit of Casey Abrams for me tonight. Can't believe a guy with that much talent (He's a bass player, of course he's talented) came out of American Idol.

Nice!

MaxineQuaye is one of the best debut albums ever, even if the man himself hates it...

A profound insight into the youthful mindset, with thought-provoking lyrics and emotive music. Plus you can sing 'Sax and Violins' instead and nobody notices.

Loving this album 'Cricklewood Broadway' by Norwegian soul-jazz band Beady Belle:

Some great dirty synth and wah funk bass lines and lush soulful vocals on top
