4000 Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Jazz Morley. Supported her Monday night, along with Jess Harwood. Both were fantastic. Quote
fretmeister Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 I am listening to Civilians - This is not an Exit, Act 1 https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/this-is-not-an-exit-act-1/id726156943 The guitarist is Paul Clark (Clarky) of the David Cross Band (the remains of King Crimson) His last solo CD was 'Shredz at an Exhibition' but the Civilians album has a really great Pop / Funk grooved going on, with (to me anyway) a bit of a 1980s feel to it. I love it. Huge fun! Quote
Clarky Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Dug out an oldie. Wow this is so mellow and beautiful. Charlie Haden and Pat Metheny, the album is 'Beyond the Missouri Sky' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLcp13yWoMc Quote

timmo Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 ELO . Having listened to them quite a bit the last week or so, I gotta agree with a lot of comments on some sites as to why Jeff Lynne is not inducted into the hall of fame yet Quote

Graham Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Emperor's best of album, currently The Loss And Curse Of Revernence. Bass is pretty much inaudible in a lot of these black metal recordings, but cracking songs nonetheless Quote
Guest canonman Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Right this minute, I'm listening to Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap by AC/DC Quote

Bo0tsy Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Sly and the Family Stone - 'Higher' - got bought the 4 disc anthology. Can't recommend it enough. As well as all the well know stuff, lots of obscure great funk tracks on there that I'd never heard before. Quote
