The guitarist is Paul Clark (Clarky) of the David Cross Band (the remains of King Crimson)

His last solo CD was 'Shredz at an Exhibition' but the Civilians album has a really great Pop / Funk grooved going on, with (to me anyway) a bit of a 1980s feel to it.

I love it. Huge fun!

Sure is......although I must admit I love Roger Glovers Bass Tone on 'Machinehead' .....but that whole 70s vibe does it for me.

Emperor's best of album, currently The Loss And Curse Of Revernence. Bass is pretty much inaudible in a lot of these black metal recordings, but cracking songs nonetheless

Sly and the Family Stone - 'Higher' - got bought the 4 disc anthology. Can't recommend it enough.

As well as all the well know stuff, lots of obscure great funk tracks on there that I'd never heard before.
