Tall glass of Hendricks gin with cucumber, and chilling to the likes of this:

Honestly can't recommend this band enough. A little bit of folk, little bit of alt rock. There's about 15 of them so the layering and textures sound awesome.

Somewhere between The Shins, Bon Iver and Arcade fire.

Bought "Uptight" an OST by Booker T & The MGs

on mono vinyl just before Xmas, it wasn't as mint as stated so to back it up I got it on CD too.
Favourite track is an elongated "Time Is Tight" with a lazy intro.
Lo & behold Cropper has put a partial video of it up on his FB & Twitter pages, with excellent Duck Dunn fingerwork on the bass.

It's all about the lyrics today:

In the car: Half Man Half Biscuit's Saucy Haulage Ballads EP
In the workshop: Sleaford Mods' Austerity Dogs album.

Going to see Sleaford Mods in a few weeks, slightly scared!

Haha, I've seen them before and am going again next Saturday (If I can persuade anyone to come with me, it's a bit 'niche')
I didn't feel TOO intimidated last time :-D Have a good one

Love Sleaford Mods. Love those chugging P-bass lines.
Note for the easily offended: sweary lyrics incoming!

As Smashie & Nicey might have said "You can't beat a nice night in mate, with a friend, eating a takeaway while listening to Starbuck. You can't beat a nice night in mate"

It's a great album and a return to form, production wise, after Strange Cousins and Beale Street..
