Baroness purple has been in my car for a few weeks now.

In the house I'm listening to hiphop sessions I've done recently

Edit: and lots of old school dub reggae

Just received this album (Lemar, The Letter) as a birthday gift. I think it's excellent - have liked his unassuming voice for a long time and these song choices and arrangements really seem to suit him.

I heard a track off this on the radio the other day (Higher Love?) and thought it was excellent. It certainly pushed my soul buttons!

EDIT: Kind of wishing I hadn't used that phrase now!

I'm listening to and really enjoying the new Mystery Jets album, which I heard some of on 6Music and liked the sound of.

Also I'm getting into Bitches Brew by Miles Davis on the recommendation of a friend. At first listen it's a big, confusing, dense noise but I've stuck with it and am starting to make sense of it a little. I always think the best albums tend to be the least immediate; the ones you have to persevere with yield the most reward, quite often.

Just listened to Glen Campbell's last recorded song, "I'm Not Going To Miss You". Don't try it without a couple of kleenex to hand, especially if you've lost anyone to Alzheimer's.

Edit: How do I embed a YouTube video again?! I thought you just cut & pasted the 'share' link from YouTube...
