I was learning the bass line to Pusherman by Curtis Mayfield. I liked the song so zi bought the Superfly album. It is awesome. Much more to that fellah than Move On Up

"I Feel Love" by Donna Summer - in order to answer a question from another thread, followed by lots of other things vinyl (but only those that play at 45RPM because changing it back to 33 is a complete ball ache). Right now I'm on Doot-Doot (12" Mix) by Freur.

I'm currently loving a bit of Giuda - an Italian band with a taste for 1970s glam influenced stomping bovver rock. Loads of fun, tongue firmly in cheek. I bet they're great live. Ace chunky bass tone too.

Shobaleader One's new album

Check out this live track, which starts as dub, but goes a bit Weather Report in the middle. The drumming is incredible!

Currently listening to Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes, Vulfpeck, and since it came up on Spotify, 'Run For Home' by Lindisfarne - the strings and harmonies are wonderful.

Been playing early New Model Army a lot recently.
Stuart Morrow's and Moose's basslines are just superb.
They're massively overlooked bassists.

Currently listening to Mastodon's new album "Emperor of Sand"

Wasn't sure on the first listen as not quite what I expected, but an excellent album. Been putting it on every chance I get for the last few days
