I have never been a big fan of Decapitated until I heard this.
The new album is very good, I think they've finally settled into this line-up. I'm currently listening to Autonet insurance's hold music...... Quote
Cato Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 (edited) http://youtu.be/y9l9nkfX-YI Miles Moseley 'Uprising'. It's less jazz than I was expecting and more Stax/Mowtown, possibly with a bit of Curtis Mayfield and Isaac Hayes mixed in. First class though. http://youtu.be/I1QNAMgQETY Edited August 12, 2017 by Cato Quote
kodiakblair Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Last few days it's been Celtic Punk Radio. Strangely it's via the internet from Germany. Quote

Roland Rock Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 (edited) Back to a band of my youth - 311. I got into them after seeing them live at my Students Union - pre nu-metal hip-hop/rock, often with a reggae slant. Bassist P Nut was a big influence too. http://youtu.be/azSKUVrJ_4M How 90s is this lyric?: "Got more funky styles than a LaserJet's got fonts" Edited August 19, 2017 by Roland Rock Quote

Good music, although I feel the singer needs to up his image/performance a bit to match the music! Quote

I'd have given body parts to be in that band (especially with that Wal ) Quote
louisthebass Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Just finished listening to "Black Market" by Weather Report. Still a great jazz fusion album with two great bassists in Alphonso Johnson and Jaco Pastorius. Quote
mentalextra Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Having a bit of a Bill Nelson revival here. Mixed with Paramore Quote

Graham Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017
Just watched Metallica's documentary Some Kind of Monster so giving St Anger another listen to.
I don't think St Anger is that bad, I like the production and the first half is pretty decent. It goes downhill on the second half, but it doesn't deserve the reputation it has and I'd certainly rather listen to it than the new one. There are some god-awful lyrics on it mind. Quote
Cato Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Kenny Young and the Eggplants. It's not something I'd normally listen to but it makes me smile. http://youtu.be/lwV1ktzKB2I Quote
Yes, it does start out pretty well but seems like the run out of steam towards the latter half. Certainly did not deserve the dislike it got at launch. Not heard the new album yet, almost picked it up at the record shop yesterday but got a different album in the end (Slipknot's first album). Enjoying heavier stuff as i get older, maybe a music mid life crisis, lol. Quote
