Graham Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 (edited) The new Foo Fighters, quite underwhelmed so far. Edit: listened to the whole thing and it is sadly the dullest and least memorable album I've heard this year; whoever is saying yes to Dave Grohl needs to stop. bassbiscuits Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 An old album called Max Q from back in 1989. It was a collaboration between Michael Hutchence taking time out from INXS, a chap called Ollie Olsen and some other under-the-radar American electronic musicians. It's not universally amazing, but it has a really cool vibe of open experimentation and is a real grower after a couple of listens. First two songs in particular are awesome. Worth a listen if you can find a copy (it wasn't a massive hit at the time, and has never been reissued) so you're looking at secondhand copies only. Quote
kendall Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Got 36 Crazyfists on shuffle for my morning runs of late. In anticipation of their new release. Quote

musicbassman Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 Knower - Overtime (Live Band sesh) Sam Wilkes - bass on another level, or from another planet. It would take me a week to work out what he's doing here, let alone play it. Quote
radiophonic Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017
Having a bit of a Bill Nelson revival here. Mixed with Paramore
Following another thread on here, I realised I'd never actually listened to Bebop Deluxe, so I picked up a 5CD box for 13 quid on Amazon. Axe Victim is this week's commute soundtrack. Pretty great really. Quote
