PatrickJ Posted February 21, 2019 Posted February 21, 2019 I've been reading lots of good things on this forum regarding the Tedeschi Trucks Band. Really enjoying this tiny desk concert 1 Quote
Graham Posted February 21, 2019 Posted February 21, 2019 After listening to Dillinger earlier, it took me to Croatoan by Starkweather - that was the band bassist Liam Willson was in before joining DEP - pretty decent so far Quote

Richard R Posted February 21, 2019 Posted February 21, 2019 I don't actually like this song, or Muse especially*, but my bass tutor gave it me as a practice exercise. Just a bit shouty listen to on record 🙂 Quote
steantval Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 This song makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, just love it. Quote
Barking Spiders Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 (edited) I've got a big thing for Scandinavian electronica with the likes of Biosphere, Lindstrom, The Field, Solar Fields, Carbon Based Lifeforms and Ugress on constant rotation. operative451 Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 Found this lot recently - not normally into shouting but its sort of post-grunge punky shouting so i'll let it pass... 1 Quote
Frank Blank Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 I forget just how good Bow Wow Wow were, such great musicians, Annabella Lwin, Matthew Ashman (RIP), Dave Barbarossa and the brilliant Leigh Gorman on bass, perhaps the perfect pop band imho... Quote

John McKenzie on bass, apparently. If Ari Up was Californian and woke up in a studio surrounded by a late-70s funk band... I give you Annette Peacock: I've just discovered this too!
