Have a real soft spot for old Heep, although D&W and MBirthday are my faves. I’m still on Sandy Denny, working my way through The Collected Fotheringay. Got her solo albums arriving this week, then it’s obtaining the rest of the collections that I don’t have, minus the 19 cd The Complete Sandy Denny, which I can’t remotely afford.

Leonard Smalls
Album with this on... Though this features an exciting array of stringed instruments! (Kubicki bass? Steinberger cricket bat?)

Graham
Porcupine Tree - Octane Twisted I didn't know they'd done a live recording from The Incident tour, so this is a pleasant surprise.
Doctor J
Heading to Dublin on Wednesday to see Killing Joke so working through the setlist from last night. One of the great bands, always a pleasure to listen to them.
Doctor J
I've also become aware of these guys. If you like the idea of old Scorpions gone super heavy with Klaus Meine mixed with Lenny Wolff on vocals, then give this a few minutes of your time. Woodinblack
Not sure if their name, the group opening for royal blood in Newport. Sort of American punk. Bass player has a very shiny ric like bass, which I assume is a ric. Seems to make a mushy sound

ezbass
I’ve been listening to/watching Lari Basilio since she popped up on my YouTube suggestions. Her backing band for her upcoming album are: Nathan East, Greg Phillinganes and asinine Colaiuta - not too shabby. She’s also just been announced for the guitar and bass show next month. NancyJohnson
XTC. I put together a 30-odd track playlist to accompany the book Complicated Game; it just cherrypicks tracks from White Music through Wasp Star. As in a playlist of the (I think) 30 tracks covered in the book - or just some of your own favourites? I hope it contains everyone's favourite "Colin is a genius" bassline that was actually written by Andy™. (Although Colin still is a genius. As is AP.) BrunoBass
I’m been massively bingeing on XTC the last few weeks. I’ve loved them since Drums and Wires but I go through that cycle of not listening to them for a couple years and then listening to nothing but them for three months. Also, a young Norwegian singer called Margrete, who’s doing some very interesting dark electro pop stuff.
