More than a hint of the Grateful Dead in this, to my ears.

I'm fairly familiar with the Grateful Dead's output, and despite giving that track a careful listen from beginning to end, I can't say there was anything there that made me think of the Dead.

Sounded more like one of the many incarnations of Hawkwind, which I suppose it is, in a way. Nothing wrong with it, just nothin like the Dead to my ears.

I bow to your greater knowledge, but such things are very subjective and despite being a major HW fan it made me think of the Dead.

Love everything about this band

I love Kinga Głyk's music too (been watching her output on YT for some time), although I don't like that drummer in your link above! Subjective, though that is. 😬

Interesting how we all hear different things in the same piece of music. I've just come down (the stairs, that is!) from a couple of hours playing along with some live Dead, and I still can't say I get any similarity between the Moorcock track and what I was listening to, sadly. I'd rather have been able to agree with you as I'd have enjoyed it more.

Very far from my usual taste but the music just lifted me. Even the jazz John Bonham bit

I'm doing some home brewing today and while it's usually some reggae and other stuff from the Soul Jazz records Spotify page today has been all about the new Young Gun Silver Fox album, Daft Punk and Justice. Got a new mini portable speaker and have been giving it a workout. Enjoyable!

reminds me of

We did that song before keys player was bumped but doesn't sound the same without keys so dropped it. Virginia Plain is gonna be a trial and see song without keys but guitarist is confident we can pull it off. Maybe he is gonna play keys in this one.

Not sure keys add much to that. Erindoors says she'd condescend to do keys if her palm was crossed with enough GOLD so she could quit her day job.
