Stub Mandrel Posted July 5, 2020 Posted July 5, 2020 Why is so much album art so utterly, indescribably bad? Quote

Why is it when drawing people for album covers so many artists seem unable to give them any feeling of depth? It can be done, look at a Judge Dredd strip or an early Iron Maiden cover. Or Molly Hatchet's first album. Quote
Stub Mandrel Posted July 5, 2020 Posted July 5, 2020 I just found this. Two pensioners making random silly noises for a quarter of an hour. It's mind-blowingly brilliant. 1 Quote

Hillage hadn't joined yet (still BL of Khan), but he fit right in when he did. I've spent a LOT of money on Hillage's work, through 777/System 7. Edited July 8, 2020 by TheMaartian 4 Quote

Nail Soup Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 Betty Harris - There's a Break In the Road. Just heard this on 6 music... it seems to pop up there quite often. Brilliant track all round, but the drumming is something else. 2 Quote

Japhet Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 On a proper Robin Trower binge at the moment (and have been throughout lock down if I'm honest). He gets a bit funky with this one. 1 Quote
steantval Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 Heard this great track from Budgie the other day. It really made me think what an amazing voice Burke Shelley has, being Welsh his phrasing and tone is very similar to Shirley Bassey on the melodic stuff. 3 Quote

Never really noticed that Shirley Bassey likeness but get it now. Dave 1 Quote
