dave moffat
Stumbled across Peat and Diesel, great fun, if a bit erm, unusual and probably in need of subtitles. Just bear with the beginning bit
mr4stringz
Russian Circles. I've been listening to them loads over the last 12-18 months and massively so since lockdown and while plenty will find the whole instrumental post-metal thing lacking something I love them. Lots going on for a 3 piece too.

All of the albums are available for streaming on Amazon Unlimited (what I have; not sure about just Prime).

BrunoBass
It’s a lonely existence being a country music fan. I think this is utterly terrific, especially from about a minute in when he gets going.
TheMaartian
I'm with you for the type of country you posted. Musicians writing and performing songs. All good. But I could never get over the feeling that a lot of modern country sounds pretty much the same. And then I watched this, and felt somewhat vindicated. I don't mean to suggest that there are no good country songwriters anymore. There are. Some very good ones. Just tough to wade through the drivel to get to it.

Yes a lot of it is over produced, cliched rubbish, but as you say there is wheat amongst the chaff. If you’re not already familiar with the likes of Tyler Childers, Stirgil Simpson, Benjamin Tod, Mary Bragg or Jade Jackson I’d recommend searching them out. TheMaartian
I'll do that. Something like this is where Amazon Music Unlimited really pays off. I see a new playlist coming. Edited September 9, 2020 by TheMaartian

I added all of the Lost Dog Street Band albums to the Benjamin Tod playlist. I have a hard time with his last name. It means "dead" in German. Love Nicolette Larson’s harmony vocal, moves me every time I hear it.

casapete
Latest release from Bruce Springsteen, reunited with The E Street Band. Nothing groundbreaking but I still love it!

Nothing groundbreaking but I still love it! i wasn't won over by Western Stars and soon stopped playing it. It has decent enough reviews - maybe I need to give it another go - wouldn't be the first time I ended up rediscovering an album after switching off from it too soon. This sounds oh-so-familiar but... that's OK. I was never a fan but was never negative about him for any reason - I was just listening to other stuff but I was won over when he played Glasto.

Richard R
A bit of a chill time before the rest of the day, having already been up since before 6. https://music.stevelawson.net/album/the-best-of-steve-lawson-pt-1-solo-2000-2013 All from one bass, with loopers and pedals.
