A pretty good live recording of one of Oceansizes new songs, the magnificently titled: "Build us a rocket then, you rocket building c**t"

Elloitt Smith - Figure 8.

I'm a latecomer to the late Elliott Smith, and I must say I'm quite blown away by his talent for crafting beautiful songs with such interesting chord progressions. Somewhat reminicent of Ben Folds in his writing, but a bit more abstract. Some of his songs remind me of the way Brian Wilson would approach melody (and that can only be a good thing as far as I'm concerned!).

Here's the album opener:

Seth Lakeman - Poor Mans Heaven. Some fantatsic double bass which I can only describe as earthy and haunting. Fantastic music I am on the verge of buying all 5 albums on CD I love it so much.

This Veil of Maya track is awesome too, some sweeeeeeet chord voicings! And when the bass kicks in about 30 seconds in, one of the few recent metal recordings that has a lush bass tone! Awesome stuff :)

Edit - that guitar riff from 1:10ish.....oooohhhhh yeah
