Kiwi Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 It's a podcast, not music but it's a very interesting listen. Jocko is an ex Navy Seal officer, he looks like a gorilla but there's a lot of real life experience behind his views...(although I think he should stay the hell away from politics because, for all his combat experience, he'd be on his own with no leadership or backup.) He also did his own podcast with former Navy Seal team mate and subordinate Jonny Kim, who started off as a seal medic in Jockos platoon, trained as a sniper, left the Navy and trained as a doctor at Harvard completing the four year degree in three, THEN decided to become as astronaut. He's currently scheduled for launch to the moon in 2024. Both men are a testament to what can be achieved through sheer bloody mindedness and (ironically for ex military) a humanist mindset. Quote

Graham Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 Every Time I Die - From Parts Unkown Not a band I've ever really listened to, but checking them out as Cave In and they have just done a "split 7 inch" live stream where they cover each other, but I'm quite enjoying it. Quote
Nail Soup Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 Ty Segal - "Twins" album from a couple of years ago. Here's two tracks (well it is called Twins) Quote
WalMan Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 The mix for our next Lockdown Video, that I have been charged with mixing, over and over and over again 🤣 Just got some 'notes' from the band zoom meeting, so into night 3 of the mix and time to find two guitars that have got lost somewhere in the last two days exertions Quote

Old Man Riva Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 A mate sent a link to this, which I’d not heard before (the band or the track). In a parallel universe Hawkwind, Neu, Bowie, Buzzcocks and their associated mates all met in a field, plugged in and got on with things... 1 Quote
Barking Spiders Posted February 3, 2021 Posted February 3, 2021 This takes me back to the days of rave in the early 90s. Cracking Underworld remix Quote
