I know it's a bit of a cliché to say Jimi Hendrix was good, but I've just been listening to some live stuff and this from the Royal Albert Hall is sublime. The combination of his voice and guitar compliment each other perfectly and are just beautiful as they wash over you.

There are many imitators who can do Jimi note perfect.

Which completely misses the point, he rarely played a phrase the same twice. And the sheer variety of voicings, vibratos he's getting there is astounding.

Limbeck.

I'd never heard a note of theirs until yesterday; plenty of mentions, but never bothered.  It's really good.  Suprisingly so.  It just seems to sound like a lot of bands I like just went into the studio and recorded an album.

While I wasn't planning on buying one of those, anyway, I'm now even less convinced I need one. I suppose it is possible, in other hands, to use it as a musical instrument, though. :|

(I think he should listen to those nice doctors and take his meds, too -_- ...)
