TheGreek Posted October 16, 2021 Posted October 16, 2021 Apparently Elton John's favourite version of one of his songs. Quote
BreadBin Posted October 17, 2021 Posted October 17, 2021 New Twelve Foot Ninja - Vengeance. It hits hard. I'm liking it, its true to form but shows evolution too - big djent-y guitars, a good slice of electronica, clever lyrics and excellent harmonies, random stylistic segues and great production. What's not to like? 🙂 It's almost commercial pop in places, but tbf it covers pretty much all of the genres! Quote
NancyJohnson Posted October 17, 2021 Posted October 17, 2021 I'm listening to my wife moaning at me because I said I'll empty the dishwasher in the morning, while she thinks it should be done now. She's emptying it now and still muttering under her breath. She thinks I'm texting my sister. I'm not. Quote

Been listening to the singles on YouTube, mainly because Over And Out has Tatiana Shmayluk on vocals. 1 Quote

Baloney Balderdash Posted October 18, 2021 Posted October 18, 2021 (edited) Wauh! Another incredibly touching song from Emma Ruth Rundle’s upcoming album “Engine of Hell”, out on 5th of November, with another amazing dead straight on point video : Edited October 18, 2021 by Baloney Balderdash 1 Quote

Sorry....proves that life would be boring if we all liked the same things... Quote
garyt Posted October 18, 2021 Posted October 18, 2021 I’m not going to buy it, but I really like some of the covers on The Blacklist. Not sure what my favourite is, as there are so many good ones, but a surprising standout is Miley Cyrus and her all star band singing Nothing Else Matters. Ghost’s version of Enter Sandman is fantastic. Biffy Clyro have made Holier Than Thou a Biffy song. Quote

Frank Blank Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 Eugene Wright and Joe Morello, impossibly cool... 1 Quote
NancyJohnson Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 I'm listening to the instrumental version of the first Periphery album. I really can't stand the Tasmanian Devil 😈 vocals associated with this band, but the music is off the scale. Wonderful. Quote
spooky__lad Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 A whole lot of early Slipknot, but also a lot of Slutever and Roar. Nirvana and Metallica are just a constant for me :^P Quote

I had a listen to the blacklist, but the songs didn't have the same punch as the original, so I bought the 3 cd black album remastered instead. It has an incredible version of wherever I may roam on the live CD ;^) Quote

Misha's solo stuff (recorded as Bulb) is good too. Quote
