Quite a few of us here who don't. I'm a big fan of 70s funk but the likes of Vulfpeck, Snarky Puppy, Bamboos, Quantic Soul Orchestra, Dirty Loops etc do nothing for me. Sure they can play but there's a big something missing for me

I agree. It's too clean and smooth. It could be robots playing.

Virtuosity before musicality, IMHO.

After this morning vulfpeck sadness I moved on to something a little more simple with a riff heavier than a dead donkey and catchier than covid 19. A bit of Mastodon never disappoints and this song is a killer.

Came up on my Spotify discover playlist. Never heard of the band before, good old AOR!

Well, if you want to play it, here is Guy Pratt (the bass player of the group) showing you!

A Top 5 album of all time for me!

Driving to a work meeting it's been an indulgence in my fave era for rock, the first half of the 90s, mostly US stuff like RATM's debut, Jar of Flies/Sap by Alice in Chains, Weezer's debut and Copper Blue by Sugar

Here's a fave track off the last of these

This morning I'm enjoying Rancid's masterpiece, And Out Come The Wolves. This has to be one of the all time greatest punk albums.

Matt Freeman's bass throughout the album is absolutely superb.
