Richard R Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 Just been sent this, which is a significant improvement on the original 😉 Quote
cetera Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 John Miles RIP. A beautiful voice..... and here on a beautiful song Quote
Paul S Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 John Miles? That is sad. he was no age. And indeed a great voice. Here is one of his tunes - it was covered by Joe Cocker and got more airplay but Miles' version has more soul imo. 1 Quote
Daz39 Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 Feeling Strangely Fine - Semisonic. On a bit of a post/semi-nu/alt-grunge (whatever you want to call it) kick. This was a great album back then and it's still just as good. Their other offerings, and their newest EP are also cracking. Quote

cetera Posted December 9, 2021 Posted December 9, 2021 Loving this album by a fantastic late 70's midwest band called Tantrum fronted by no less than 3 hard rockin' ladies! Think 70's 'Heart' with bigger riffs and more reliable songwriting and your some way there... Quote
Barking Spiders Posted December 9, 2021 Posted December 9, 2021 Just been listening to Low Life in the car, IMO New Order's best album as it sill has traces of Joy Division. Here's my highlight from it 2 Quote

Rayman Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 As I've gotten older, I listen to less and less... which is a bit depressing. I have predominantly podcasts now in the car.... it's been a long time since I've discovered and got excited about anything new.... 🤨 Quote
andy67 Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 The missus whining at me for not taking the rubbish out! Quote
Horrorhiker Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 They must have been mentioned on here before, but Electric Six to me are highly underrated, in the sense that they're known as a bit of a novelty band. Some of their deep cuts are amazing. To me, in the same sort of league as Crash Test Dummies. Known for a couple of hits and then percieved as disappeared, but have always been going and doing excellent stuff. Body Shot by E6. Quote
