Just got round to shelling out the wonga for Underworld's Drift box set having had to make do with streaming till now. It's just more greatness from the lads. It was on discovering them along with The Orb, Leftfield etc in the early 90s that I gave up on most new guitar band music after the Grunge phenom passed.

I have just started running again in an effort to become less voluptuous. I really hate running but it shifts weight fast. Anyway, I have discovered that Cult of Luna's new masterpiece played loud can actually drown out the experience of running. 

It's an absolutely brilliant record which brings a sense of apocalyptic doom right from the drum intro right to the last note.

I didn't know he'd died. That's a huge loss to music. 

Mark made some incredible music, solo and with many bands. He had an amazing voice.

I'm now listening to this. Mark Lanegan at his very best.
