Richard R Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 The only song of hers I know is the obvious one. Having read her obituary on the BBC news I realise I probably should have paid more attention to her work. 2 Quote

Never heard of these guys till here but I've checked more of their stuff on YT. Really good. Their vids are getting really strong viewing figures. The above one has 370 million views over 6 years which most big name pop and rap acts would be envious of. Quote

fretmeister Posted July 29, 2023 Posted July 29, 2023 I seem to be revisiting my youth and listening to a lot of AC/DC at the moment. I caught a clip of the Live at Donington Monsters of Rock show on youtube - I was at that gig and it's caused me to reminisce a bit so I've been shuffle playing their catalogue. Quote

Barking Spiders Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Just been driving home with this belting out of the in-car stereo. The ultimate pedal to the metal song IMO. Never ever tire of this tune... 1 Quote
Gasman Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 The Enid - Live at Peterborough Town Hall 1980 (on record label 'Letthemeat vinyl) Excellent Prog/rock/synth/orchestral stuff featuring Francis, the guitarist with my current band... Quote
Rubbersoul Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 Was listening to Bauhaus there. They had some fantastic tunes. Quote

ricksterphil Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 (edited) Not quite the intent of the thread, but I went to see Vintage Trouble at the 02 Academy on Tuesday night. An awesome band with quite possibly the best frontman in the business. If you get the chance, go see them. Also, the bassist has an awesome Aguilar rig so much opportunity to nerd out Edited August 3, 2023 by ricksterphil Quote
PaulThePlug Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 Great Voice... Finley Quaye (Even After All and Sunday Shining?) came straight to mind... and not played or heard him for good few years... Quote
AndyTravis Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 (edited) Wild Beasts. was introduced to them years ago when “Two Dancers” came out. Hadn’t really followed their progress much as I get easily distracted. Gutted I didn’t as they’ve disbanded and their subsequent albums were absolutely masterful. “Present Tense” and “Boy King” Also, Bombay Bicycle Club are on the speakers a lot at the moment.
