phil.i.stein Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 (edited) new Black Sun Empire l.p. - 'lights and wires' truly mind bendingly dark dubstep, drum'n'bass and electronica. the extra mix cd also kicks. there's a minimix sample here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HV4GhNpHl_Q Edited January 8, 2011 by phil.i.stein Quote
Chris2112 Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 'The Tenacity of Genes and Dreams' by Stuart Hamm. One of his best songs. Some very nice fretless playing and an absolutely ridiculous abss solo too, all carrying along a lovely melody. Quote

Wil Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Gorky's Zygotic Mynci - Barafundle Forgot how much I loved Gorky's, bought this album the other day and it's wonderfully strange. As far as I can make out it's mildly psychedelic medieval maudlin pop folk. Quote
Mlucas Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Spasm by Meshuggah. Nothin' like a bit of crazy math rock and obscure time signatures! Quote

JTUK Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 My bands new numbers CD..working through them. I have had to go with a few LIVE versions as the original recorded versions were woeful McCartney...WTF, what were you playing at... ?? even on my first few sessions when I was pretty raw, I couldn't have gotten away with some of that playing..!!! Some of the originals are unlistenable to me, I just can't do it. Quote
Jam Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 Last December, Iced Earth Been going through a bit of an Iced Earth phase recently. The singer in my band is a massive fan, and we cover this song. I'd not heard the live version till recently but it's awesome. Great fun to play too! Quote
