I decided I should listen to the Oasis compilation "Stop the clocks", so I could form a more objective view on the band.

There were some clever lyrics in a couple of songs, and I can see why they appealed to people.

Totally agree. Everyone plodding thru the chart, going thru the motions and for me, the Proms is totally the wrong place for it.
